The Athénée is the oldest secondary school in Luxembourg, boasting a tradition dating back to 1603.
The current building, constructed in 1964, has recently undergone major restoration work to overcome deficiencies in terms of stability, hygiene, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, and fire safety, as well as to make the necessary adjustments due to changes in teaching methods. This ambitious project aimed to modernize and renovate without altering the nature of the existing building.
Guerrasio false ceilings were installed in this renovated context, providing a decisive aesthetic and functional contribution to the spaces.
Composed of multi-module Q-type strips of different widths, in harmony with the surroundings, they help to convey a feeling of cleanliness, fluidity, warmth, and acoustic comfort.
The frameless inspection hatches, with the same multi-module slats inside, perfectly integrated, constitute the customized technical solution, designed to ensure practical, safe, and invisible access to the systems.
