University of Salerno Library

Fisciano (SA)

The heart of the University of Salerno’s technical and scientific library features a large, full-height space overlooked by four floors dedicated to study areas.
The ceiling skylight was refurbished during the most recent renovation work.
Thick aluminum beams, serving a purely aesthetic function, connect along the perimeter to the large pillars that define the hall; where they intersect, they create a grid within which Vert Occulto-type polycarbonate tiles with aluminum frames are installed. These tiles are suspended from a concealed structure and equipped with safety hooks to prevent them from falling.
